Happy Halloween!!!

Jasper experienced his very first beggars night on Thursday, October 30.  He has had a virus almost all week and luckily started to feel better just in time to head out to Waukee and show off his alligator costume.  We got to visit Sandy & Jr; Bart, Jody, Mal, and the dogs; Great Grandma & Grandpa Trissel; and Noah, Jason, & Grandma Vicki.

We had a great time and he was such a trooper in his costume!  And just tonight, on Halloween, we went over to visit neighbors Tom & Michelle to wrap up our fun festivities.
Happy Halloween everyone!

A Saturday afternoon in

With mom judging a hat contest at Prairie Meadows in honor of the Breeders Cup, Jasper and dad spent a Saturday playing on the floor with blocks, wrestling and hanging out with the Coz.

By the way, you can see J's first tooth — barely — if you look close enough at the photo of him smiling. He had a tough day last week and a bit last weekend so we thought something was going on, and when he chewed on our fingers we could feel it ready to pop through. Monday, Oct. 20 we saw the top of his first tooth and it looks like there might be two or three more ready to come through any day now.

how did you manage that?

Looks like Jasper preferred to sleep without one of his socks. He managed to take one of his socks off sometime during the night. We woke up and went into his room one morning and found him cuddling up with his sock rather than wearing it. Now that he's moving all over the place, we never know what position he's going to end up in when we come in the morning to wake him up - such a silly guy!

Grandpa and Jasper

Grandpa - do you like my rings, too?!

Hangin' out with the boys....and girls!

A couple of pictures with Jasper and his friend, Quinton and mommy, Melissa, enjoying the hawkeye game and cousin Tysa came over for a visit, too. Seems like J-Man likes to hold hands as he's holding hands with both Quinton and Tysa, not even on command :)

Light the Night

This past weekend we participated in Light the Night in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We walked to celebrate our cousin and survivor, Elijah!

My first football game

Jared and Heidi Gillespie joined Nat, Jasper and I in a trek to Garwin on Friday, Oct. 3 to watch Green Mountain-Garwin play Montezuma. Kyl Gillespie coaches GMG.

It was Jasper's first football game and he stayed awake the entire time to see the Wolverines beat Montezuma. It was a little chilly but he stayed toasty warm with his hat and fleece jacket. (Note to self: buy some gloves for the boy!)

The picture is of Jasper with Payson and Zoe Gillespie, Kyl and Ami's kids.
