Food Fight!

We had such a fun time at our annual food fight with the wilders and grams and gramps. Green eggs, mashed potatoes, oatmeal, noodles, and peas were just some of the many enjoyable things that we threw at each other :) Avery didn't quite enjoy it, but maybe next year, she'll want to partake in the festivities. We all smelled quite bad afterward, but it was worth it...although, I finally got all the mashed potatoes out of my ear on Tuesday (two days after the fight). Jasper even shot a pistol and Avery drove her first car.

State Fair Fun

We made our annual trek to the Iowa State Fair with Jason, Noah, and Grandma Vicki. We had a fun time, the weather was beautiful and we even met up with Jasper's friend, Preston, and his mom and dad, Larry and Rachel, so the boys could ride some rides in the midway. We ate some yummy, greasy food, rode rides, saw the baby animals, and just enjoyed the experience of the fair. One Direction was playing in the grandstands as we were leaving and Jasper was dancing to the music. At that same point in time, it was about 9 p.m. and Aves decided to take seat on the sidewalk and just stretch her legs out - funny kids!

Flag Football Fun!

jasper started flag football this Fall. Adam is assistant coach and Coach Derick is head coach. Him and his friend, Jackson, are the only kindergartners on the team. The rest are 1-2nd graders, but they keep up with the older boys pretty good. They run plays and just have fun! He is on the red team! Go big red!

First Day of Kindergarten

Jasper began kindergarten at Bondurant-Farrar (Anderson Elementary) on August 19, 2013. His teacher is Ms. Shaver. He got a Lego Chima backpack and Lego City lunch bag. His first week went great, and he's already making some new friends! I got a new job at the school, so I get to see him EVERYDAY, which I love! I think having him in Ms. Kelli's class for preschool, also at Anderson, helped to make this transition to kindergarten not as intimidating. We love you, buddy! Can't believe you're officially going to school all day!

Happy Birthday Uncle Jason!

Uncle Jason turned 35 on August 9 and we celebrated with dinner over at grandma Vicki's with Jason, Noah, and Great-Grandpa Trissel. Jason and Ave got some good cuddle time. She doesn't cuddle with too many people, but Jason usually can get her to cuddle.

Mom...I'm Outside and You Don't Know It

Here is picture of the garage door with the child-proof lock off the door handle and Miss Avery out in the garage on Jasper's scooter. I had no idea any of this was happening - little turkey! Then she smiled at me and said "cheese" like it was no big deal!
