More Birthday Photos

Here are some photos celebrating the March family bdays, including Gia, who turned 1 and got an itty-bitty doll that she was so cute with, and Jasper turning 4! And we even got the kids to sit still so we could take a picture of everyone, since the newest Addition - Landry Cleveland - has arrived. Hmm...looks like females definitely dominate this family!

Here are some photos from Jman celebrating his bday at home with us. The picture of him hiding in his blue bubba is him anxiously awaiting for his big present - Optimus Prime Bike!

Cuddle Time with Daddy!

Happy 4th Birthday Jasper!

March 24, 2012 - Jasper's 4th Birthday! We celebrated with two parties! One with the Wilson side and some friends and the other with mommy's side of the family. Jasper got alot of great gifts, including superheros, and our gift to him was an Optimus Prime Bike. He was excited about it, but wanted to read his new superhero book before he took his bike out for a spin! His birthday party was an Iron Man theme complete with a cookie cake and cherry chip cake, which had a spiderman topper instead of Iron Man, but it was in the superhero family, so he was ok with it. Thanks to everyone for helping him celebrate! On his actual birthday after we gave him his presents, he kept saying, "thanks so much mom and dad for my presents - I love them!"

Funny Girl

A couple of cute pictures of Avery on her belly, which doesn't happen often. She is not a fan of being on her belly, but we got some good shots this evening. She's such a happy, smiley baby!

We're Moving!

Couldn't remember if we had posted anything yet on our house, but it sold this March and we are packing up to be out by April 13 for the new owners to come in. We are very excited for this next chapter in our lives, but very bittersweet about leaving the home that we've made our own the past 6 years. I'll miss this view - Jasper and Cosmo playing out back while I'm making dinner watching them from the kitchen window. Seems like just yesterday Gramps and Daddy built that sandbox for Jman when he was just a little guy. And him and Cozmo have so much fun chasing each other around. Cozmo usually follows him and protects him. He seems to know when I'm in the house watching from the window because it's almost like he's just a little bit more protective of Jasper because he's the only one out there with him. Best buds!

I'm sure we'll put more posts up about moving because that seems to be what our lives are definitely evolving around at the moment. Jasper gets a little sad thinking that we might forget something, but we've assured him that everything that we have here will go with us to our new house..."even the windows" he said. "Well, no.." "Even the oven?" "Well, no.." "Ok, buddy, so not everything, but the things that do stay will be used by a new family and they will really appreciate us keeping those things here," "Ok, mom."

I can imagine it's a scary thing for a kid to leave the only house he's ever known, so we are definitely trying to include him in as much as the process as we can. I know he'll be happy in our new house, but we just have to get there first.

Oh, east side, we'll miss the memories! you've been so good to us!

It's Superhero Jasper!

Jasper is way into superheros and has been for quite some time. As you'll notice here, he has on his Iron Man halloween costume, with his superhero gloves that go to his superhero cape from the Wilders, and has his superhero sword to fight off the bad guys, or villians, which is what he normally calls them. The other day, me and Avery were sitting on the steps and Jasper was running up and down the sidewalk and would make me repeat the Superman theme song everytime he'd run fast down the hill..."It's a Bird, It's a Plane, No it's Superman!" He does not take his superhero playing very lightly. He does mean business when there are real criminals on the scene.

Big Sitting Girl

Avery is mastering sitting on her own. We used to put the boppie pillow behind her, but now she is catching herself if she starts leaning back and sitting up like a big girl. She likes to play on her own, but after she's been on the ground playing for a while and she sees one of us walk by her, she will get very sad - 'come on guys, come play with me!' She is also starting to reach out her arms to whomever she decides she wants to go, too...usually mommy :)

I Do Not Like Green Food....

So, we've discovered Avery is a little pickier of an eater than her big brother. Jasper would eat any baby food we gave him, but the girl definitely does not like her green beans or peas, so much like this picture, the food usually ends up on her face as she tries to spit it out. YUM!

Monkey Joes

Mommy's day off happened to coincide with cousin Noah's day off of school a couple weeks ago, so we took advantage of it by getting some cousin shots at Portrait Innovations and made a trip to Monkey Joes, where the boys played for quite a while on the "jumpies" while mom, Grandma Vicki, and Avery watched.

Happy 60th Gramps!

Gramps celebrated his 60th bday on March 6. Grams threw a small party for him where we all dressed alike in jean shirts and reading glasses, since that is what you will normally see him in. Happy B-day Gramps, we love you!

Tuckered out

This is the way Avery fell asleep on the couch tonight.

Kidsfest in DSM

The four of us ran over to the Iowa State Fairgrounds on Friday night for Kidsfest. We had a good time, running around getting fake tattoos, getting a balloon sword made and doing a few of the bounce houses. Jasper even got to do his first tractor pull, meet a Polk County Sheriff's deputy and get his photo in front of (and in) a police cruiser.

Jasper and I also got our hands painted and pressed them on a small white flag in a crafts booth.

I played around with the camera on my new work iPhone, which seems to work pretty well.
