Go Hawkeyes!

Had to take a picture of Avery in her Hawkeye hat from Aunt Barb!

Sleepover with Syd

Jman and Syd love having sleepovers - this time, they decided to eat dinner with their hoods on and we had an 'indoor' campout in his bedroom watching movies. They ran and played downstairs almost the whole day - and Adam and I loved listening to their conversations. They were able to make a game of superhero/house so they could both play what they wanted. Poor Avery wanted to play with them so bad...

Daddy's So Comfy

Avery loves falling asleep in her daddy's arms...and with pink bubba covering her face or in her mouth...

Soaking in the Sun

Big Brother Cozmo enjoyed an afternoon soaking in the sun on Jasper's rug, while the kids and I were out and about and daddy and Cozmo had the house all to themselves.

We Love our Bubbas!

Here is a picture of Avery on her pink bubba and Jasper on his blue bubba - they are bubba pals!

Painting Pottery

Erin Hunsaker invited us to paint some pottery at Glazed Expressions. Jasper chose a jar with a lizard on it and I painted an ice cream bowl for Jasper P, to which he said, "we can put real ice cream in this, mom." Yes, buddy that's right! Thanks, Erin, for inviting us - we had a fun time!

I'm Eating Baby Food!

Avery is starting to like her baby food, and she's all smiles for her sweet potatoes in this picture! We haven't found one food that she hasn't liked yet, but I'm sure that will come. And she is certainly not wasteful - eating every last bite!

Future Broncos Fan

Avery is almost big enough to fit in her way cute Broncos outfit from the Hunsakers, but when the Broncos game came on the other day, daddy couldn't resist and put it on.

Final Christmas Celebration

Our last stop this Christmas Holiday was at the Smith's house. Unfortunately, Uncle Junior and Aunt Sandy couldn't make it. Junior was in the hospital - we definitely missed those two and were thinking about them the whole day! Jasper had a fun time playing with his cousins and Avery and Gia (9 mos.) sat back and starred at all the fast-moving kiddos. We did an adult gift card exchange and the kids also exchanged gifts, including walkie talkies for Jman and some toys for Avery.

Thanks, Smiths, for hosting everyone! AND...one picture on here are the kiddos zonked out after a great holiday!

Merry Christmas - Part 3

Our third Christmas was with the Wilders and Grams and Gramps. Family friend, Janie, was in town from Denver, CO, so she joined in the festivities as well. Syd and Jasper had so much fun opening gifts, playing, running around...and playing house. Syd got two American Girl dolls but I think she most enjoyed being a big cousin for her "real baby," Avery. Jasper got a way cool Batman Cave and Avery got a very girlie exercauser, that she loves!

We had a wonderful lunch and it was so nice out that we also got to go for a long walk to the pond.

Merry Christmas - Part 2

Our second Christmas was Christmas morning! We had to wake up both kiddos to open gifts this year! Jasper came out of his room to discover that Santa and his reindeer had eaten the cookies and carrots we set out for them and left some fun gifts, too - play doh, legos, games, and clothes. Avery got her very own "pink bubba" and toys. Jasper was able to open Avery's gifts this year, but I told him that will probably be the last time that will happen again (ever!) :) Adam and I didn't exchange gifts, but knew that our best gift this year was having two healthy, happy kiddos that we love!

OH, and Santa did not bring Jasper his superhero scooter that he had wanted. When he discovered this he said, "Well, I didn't get the superhero scooter that I wanted but..that's awight." He agreed with mom and dad that Santa thought mom and dad should bring it for his birthday because he knew he couldn't ride it in the cold.

Merry Christmas - Part 1

Our first Christmas Celebration was at Grandma Vicki's house. Unfortunately, cousin Noah wasn't able to join us but uncle Jason was there and Great Grandpa Trissel stopped by, too! Jasper enjoyed opening his gifts, including his very first experience with "pop rocks" that Santa brought him in his stocking, Batman jammies, boxer briefs, and a Car GeoTrax. Avery got a cute purple sock monkey, clothes, a teddy bear that sings, and a play gym. There is also a picture of Jman here with his presents all lined up. He was very particular that they could not be stacked. We went to Grandma Vicki's church, which was a wonderful celebration, and ended with more than 500 people singing silent night while each holding a candle. It was really neat. Thanks, Grandma Vicki, for a fun Christmas Eve!

Magnified

Jasper got a magnifying glass for Christmas. It's fun!
